Bug Terror! – iTunes

Don’t get me started as to what’s wrong with iTunes – the entire app needs a complete overhaul. Since this is a nitpicky, app complaint area, I will focus on consistent annoyances in the featured programs. This time, it’s meta-tagging. I love it when iTunes is trying to be “helpful” when trying to rename mp3s in the info window. In this case, if the lower-case has been used once, it will always try to enter that information, no matter what you do. You have to actually click beside each word’s first letter and make it caps to get the correct name. Brilliant. It’s almost as annoying as the myriad of Windows “Wizards” that merely get in the way of a decent user experience.

Another amazing feature of iTunes is when you cannot sync your iPod or iPhone across more than one computer without erasing everything on the portable and starting with what is on the box it’s attached to. Brilliant. Kind of defeats the concept of sync does it not?

Oh wait. I could pay Apple $100/yr for Mobile Me. Good solution. For Apple.

How about when you copy an album cover into a group of selected tunes while one of them is playing…it puts 2 copies of the album cover into each songs meta info…then you either leave them there or go back and delete one copy of a song at a time.

Using iTunes reminds me of the time I woke up with a stinging cock and a hooker that smelled like vegetable oil in my bed. I try to avoid it at all costs. It’s simple not worth the hassle and frustration. It’s purpose is to play fucken music for christ’s sake. Apple can’t even get that simple task right but Hey! It suuuuure looks pretty.
