Because of sheer curiosity (after seeing the Thanksgiving "trailer" in Grindhouse), I watched Hostel II. After all the crazed hype and the coining of the worst term in film history ("torture porn") it's really not that bad. It's a great improvement on the original which made me want to walk out of the theatre. Who knew that by switching the genders in the protagonists and antagonists we'd see something quite different happen with the original Hostel idea. Not recommended for anyone but serious horror fans, though. Okay, now I have to partially eat my hat.
